Israeli Defense Minister after attack on Yemen: There is no place far from us

For its part, the official broadcasting authority said that the army also attacked Hodeidah airport, its electricity company, and another port in the city of Ras Issa in the same governorate, western Yemen.

Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper indicated that this attack is broader than the attack launched by Tel Aviv on Hodeidah last July.

In turn, the private Hebrew Channel (12) published a photo that it said was of the fire that broke out in the port of Hodeidah, after the Israeli attack.

This is in parallel with what the Israeli army spokesman, Avichay Adraee, claimed that "over the past year, the terrorist Houthi regime has been working with Iranian guidance and funding and in cooperation with Iraqi militias to target the State of Israel, destabilize regional stability, and obstruct freedom of international navigation."

Adraee stressed that "the Israeli army is determined to continue operating against those who threaten the citizens of Israel, at any distance that requires it," he said.

Last July, Israeli warplanes attacked the port of Hodeidah and its electricity company in response to a missile being fired towards Tel Aviv at the time, which led to the death of an Israeli and the injury of others.

In "solidarity with Gaza", which has been facing a devastating Israeli war since October 7, 2023, the Houthis in Yemen and armed factions in Lebanon, most notably Hezbollah, are carrying out various operations against Israel by targeting it with missiles and drones, in addition to targeting ships linked to Tel Aviv in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.

These factions demand that their operations be halted by ending the war waged by Israel with American support on the Gaza Strip, which has left more than 137,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amidst massive destruction.
