Barcelona continued their strong performances and achieved their second consecutive victory in the Spanish Football League by defeating their guest, Athletic Bilbao, 2-1, on Saturday evening.

Barcelona opened the scoring after 24 minutes thanks to their rising star, European champion Lamine Jamal, who fired a powerful left-footed shot that Lekio headed past his goalkeeper, before the visitors equalised from a penalty kick in the 42nd minute through Oihan Sanset.

In the second half, Polish striker Robert Lewandowski managed to score the winning goal for the Catalan team in the 75th minute, raising his team's score to six points.

Lewandowski returns to decide

Lewandowski played a major role in his team's excellent start, scoring two goals in the first match against Valencia, and adding another goal against Bilbao. He has thus scored three of the first four goals scored by his team so far, and his mark has been significant in the team's success.

The strong start also helped erase the negative image that Lewandowski left among his team's fans at the end of last season, as he faced a lot of criticism after he wasted many opportunities and missed crucial goals. However, this season the situation has completely changed, as although the Pole could have scored more goals, he succeeded in making a difference at the right and decisive time in the match.

The return of the Polish star's scoring sense is considered the first success of German coach Hansi Flick with Barcelona at the beginning of his career with the club, considering that he employed his knowledge of Lewandowski's abilities, after having previously coached him with Bayern Munich, in order to help him appear at his normal level, as he was very focused throughout the match, which made him provide assistance to his team, and be the distinctive number at the beginning of the season.

Other matches

In the same round, Osasuna managed to beat its guest, Real Mallorca, with one goal to none.

Osasuna waited until the 55th minute to score the winning goal through its player Ruben Garcia, giving his team the three points after a draw in the first round.

Real Sociedad regained its balance and achieved its first points after its difficult victory over its host Espanyol with a goal scored by the Japanese Takefusa Kubo in the eightieth minute.

The small Madrid derby between Getafe and its guest Rayo Vallecano ended in a goalless draw, with Rayo gaining a point that raised its score to four points, while Getafe gained its second point from two draws.
