Aden International Airport receives the first African Express flights after years of suspension

Aden International Airport received, today, Thursday, the first flights of African Express Company, after resuming its flight line (Aden - Mogadishu - Nairobi) after it had been suspended for years.

The Undersecretary of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Eng. Mohammed Nasher, stressed the importance of resuming work on the Aden-Mogadishu-Nairobi line, which will facilitate the movement of Yemenis and stimulate trade between Yemen and the countries of the Horn of Africa.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Nasher explained that the flights will be two flights per week.

For his part, the Director General of Aden International Airport, Abdul Raqib Al-Omari, confirmed the readiness and preparedness of Aden International Airport to receive all flights and lines of various airlines, welcoming the resumption of African Express flights to the airport.

For his part, the Somali Ambassador to Yemen, Abdullah Hashi, indicated that the resumption of the flight line between Aden Airport and Mogadishu will contribute to facilitating the movement of travelers between the two countries, praising the depth of the historical relations that link the two brotherly countries, according to the agency.
