Hadhramaut.. Al-Alimi announces the start of procedures for establishing two power stations with a capacity of 100 megawatts

The head of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, announced on Sunday the start of the necessary procedures to establish two electrical power plants in Hadramaut Governorate with a capacity of 100 megawatts, funded by the government and the local authority in the governorate.

This came in a speech at the headquarters of the Police College in the city of Mukalla, the capital of Hadramaut Governorate, according to the official Saba Agency.

Al-Alimi said that the project, whose funding will be shared by the government with the local authority, includes the establishment of an electricity station in Hadramaut on the coast, and another in the valley with a capacity of 50 megawatts each.

Al-Alimi called on the people of Hadhramaut and their political, civil, and societal components to consolidate these achievements with greater cohesion and unity of ranks for the good, growth and stability of the governorate as a locomotive for development, and the restoration of state institutions.

He stressed that the Presidential Leadership Council and the government understand the legitimate demands of the people of Hadhramaut, and are working to adopt and implement them in partnership with all state institutions.

He revealed the leadership council's intention to form a committee from various concerned parties to go to Hadramaut Governorate and address its service and development priorities, and work to achieve the aspirations of its people in various fields.
