The Presidential Leadership Council discusses efforts to meet the legitimate demands of the people of Hadhramaut

The Presidential Leadership Council confirmed, on Tuesday, its full understanding of the demands of the people of Hadhramaut, stressing the need to keep the governorate away from any tensions or internal disputes, and to devote itself to its development.

The Presidential Leadership Council held a meeting headed by President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, and attended by all its members, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, Faraj Al-Bahsani, and via video conference, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, Sultan Al-Arada, Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami, Tariq Saleh, and Othman Majli, according to the Yemeni News Agency "Saba".

The meeting addressed developments in the local situation at all levels, including the Houthi militias’ military escalation, their gross violations of human rights, and the continued repercussions of their terrorist attacks on oil facilities and international shipping lines.

The meeting also discussed the latest developments in the service, living and development conditions in the country, especially the developments in Hadhramaut Governorate and the efforts made to meet the legitimate demands of its people, and enhance its historical position as a model to be emulated for the presence of the state and the rule of law.

The Presidential Leadership Council listened to briefings and assessments of the situation in the governorate at various levels, and the efforts made to enhance security and stability and improve living and service conditions to alleviate the suffering of citizens, especially in the electricity, education and water sectors, and to mobilize all energies to overcome the repercussions of the terrorist Houthi militia attacks on oil facilities and international shipping lines.

The Council also reviewed the reports submitted by the local authority and relevant parties, which included ideas for developing a joint plan on the priorities of the stage and the requirements for its implementation, in various fields.

The Presidential Leadership Council affirmed its full understanding of the demands of the people of Hadhramaut, noting the awareness of all its components, local authorities, political and societal forces, in strengthening the unity of ranks, keeping the governorate away from any tensions or internal disputes, devoting itself to its development, alleviating the suffering of its people and strengthening its presence in local and central decision-making.
