Hadramout.. Security forces storm university dormitory in Mukalla and arrest a number of students

Security forces stormed a university dormitory at dawn on Friday and arrested a group of students in the Falak area of Al-Mukalla, the capital of Hadhramaut Governorate (eastern Yemen).

Student sources told "Yemeni Youth Net" that security forces affiliated with the Rokab Security Center stormed the Nobles Academy University dormitory at dawn on Friday and arrested six students: (Mohammed Bakmah, Nayef Mazrou, Abdullah Saheb, Abdullah Baryan, Osama Zabad, and Mukhtar Baras).

The sources indicated that the storming came at the request of the housing administration after protests by students demanding the dismissal of the general manager and the financial manager, against the backdrop of the housing administration raising housing and living fees.

According to sources, the Nobles' Residence is funded by the Kuwaiti Nader Al-Nouri Charitable Society, which was supposed to be free for students, in exchange for a nominal fee for living expenses.

The sources accused the housing administration of repeatedly raising housing and living fees, which prompted students to stage protests in protest and demand solutions to the housing problems.
