Al-Arada inspects the damage caused by rain in Marib
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Governor of Marib, Major General Sultan Al-Arada, directed on Sunday evening to quickly meet the basic and necessary needs of the displaced, including shelter and food, in addition to quickly repairing public services, most notably electricity, and paying attention to the needs of families who were housed in temporary shelter schools during rains and storms.
This came during Major General Sultan Al-Arada's inspection, this evening, of some of the damages inflicted on the displaced people in the Jo Al-Naseem camp north of the city and the Al-Jafina camp south of the city, as a result of the heavy rains, thunderstorms and strong winds that the governorate witnessed.
According to Saba News Agency, during the visit, Major General Al-Arada was briefed on the effects of the rains and storms and the damage to electricity, water and other public services, according to the government Saba News Agency.
Al-Arada stressed the need for the local authority's emergency committees to work hard, each in his own field, to protect the displaced in the camps and citizens in residential neighborhoods, provide all aspects of attention and care, complete the inventory and assessment of the damages, and submit comprehensive reports on the urgent and necessary emergency needs to meet them as quickly as possible and alleviate the suffering of those affected.
Earlier on Sunday, Al-Arada chaired an extraordinary meeting of the governorate's emergency committee to confront disasters, following the heavy rains, strong winds and thunderstorms that the governorate witnessed, with the beginning of the air depression that is expected to last for 72 hours.
