Torrents of rain washed away a teacher while returning from school on the first new school day, in Al Mahwit Governorate, north of the capital, Sana'a.
Media sources reported that the educator, Yahya Ahmed Saleh Al-Ahmar, died after being swept away by torrential rains in the Wadi Ghazwan area of Shibam Kawkaban District in Al-Mahwit Governorate.
According to the sources, the teacher, “Yahya Al-Ahmar,” was swept away by the torrents while trying to cut off the liquid while returning to his home after the end of his evening school shift.
The sources stated that the teacher’s body was found next to a house in the area, amid deep sadness that descended on the region due to the loss of the teacher and educationalist, Yahya Al-Ahmar, who was widely accepted by society.
It is noteworthy that the school year in areas controlled by the Houthi militia began last Saturday, coinciding with the advent of summer and heavy rains in the Yemeni governorates.
