Today, Thursday, Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan launched the celebrations of the Yemeni Revolution Day by holding festivals in the governorate’s schools and lighting up the historic Cairo Citadel.

Governor Shamsan stressed that celebrating the anniversary of the Yemeni revolutions is an honor and appreciation for the heroic roles of the free people and revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives and blood to remove injustice, backwardness, and racist and colonialist ideology and move to the space of the republic, freedom, democracy, justice, and equality.

He added that the governorate will witness continuous celebrations of the 26 September, 14 October and 30 November revolutions, starting this morning from Al-Hakimi Martyr School and Mohammed Al-Durra Martyr School, as well as various cultural and national events.

He considered that the celebrations are a rejection of the new Imamate and the abhorrent sectarianism that has plunged the country into the fires of wars and destruction to serve Iranian expansionist ambitions that do not serve the Yemenis and with reactionary justifications that must be confronted and united and aligned with the political leadership represented by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi and the members of the Council.

The Governor of Taiz pointed out that the celebrations coincide with development projects witnessed by the governorate in various service and sustainable fields, especially the fields of water, education, electricity, roads, restoration and rehabilitation of institutions and streets, and restoring the bright face of the governorate after the great damage to the infrastructure as a result of the hateful and systematic war against this valiant governorate.
