Malhan Al Mahwit disaster
The Houthi militia admitted its failure to reach the Malhan district, which was hit by devastating floods, three days after the disaster.
Nasr Amer, head of the Houthi Saba Agency and deputy head of the Houthi Media Authority, said, "They were unable to reach the Malhan district in Al Mahwit Governorate."
Nasr Amer claimed that aid is available, but reaching those affected in the directorate is difficult due to the road closures.
The Houthi admission of failure to reach Malhan District reveals false Houthi claims of forming an emergency committee to rescue those affected.
Heavy rains and floods swept away dozens of homes and caused the loss of nearly 50 people from the Malhan district three days ago, revealing the fragility and enormous weakness of the Houthi militia’s state administration.
