The death toll from the rockslide that occurred on Monday morning on a family home in a town in Al Mahwit Governorate has risen to 11 people, between dead and injured.

A number of citizens died and were injured on Monday after their house collapsed due to rockfalls in one of the towns of Al Mahwit Governorate, northern Yemen.

The Iranian-backed Houthi militia changed the name of a school in the northern Yemeni province of Al Mahwit to the name of a leader of a pro-Iranian militia in the region, as part of a wide-scale sectarian campaign targeting the educational process in areas under its control.

A human rights official said that the Houthi militia is looting local aid provided to those affected by floods and destroying dams in Al Mahwit Governorate, northern Yemen. It also continues to prevent the work of humanitarian organizations and charitable associations that work far from it, amid the continued suffering of those affected.

A recent UN statistic revealed that 41 people were killed or missing, more than a thousand families were affected, and hundreds of homes were destroyed as a result of the recent floods that hit Al Mahwit Governorate (northwest of Yemen).

The Houthi militia admitted its failure to reach the Malhan district, which was affected by devastating floods, three days after the disaster.
