The government approves the formation of a committee to develop an executive matrix that meets the needs of the armed forces

In its extraordinary meeting today, Wednesday, the Council of Ministers approved the formation of a ministerial committee responsible for developing an executive matrix to meet the needs of the armed forces based on urgent priorities, and in accordance with the report submitted by the Ministry of Defense.

According to the Saba news agency, the committee consists of the ministries of Defence, Finance, Oil and Minerals, Public Health and Population, Endowments, Guidance, Information, Local Administration, Civil Service, Water and Environment, and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.

The Council pledged to work with the utmost effort to support the efforts of the military establishment and provide its necessary requirements to continue performing its national role in this exceptional stage, and to secure the needs of the armed forces to enable them to continue carrying out their current and anticipated tasks.

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak pointed out the government’s keenness, under the guidance of the Presidential Command Council, to build a strong army according to institutional and professional foundations, neutralize the army and security institutions from political conflicts, address the conditions of their members, and provide the needs of the fronts until victory in the battle to end the coup and restore the state.

The Minister of Defense and the ministry’s leaders presented to the Council of Ministers a comprehensive report on the military and operational situation, the efforts made to develop performance and raise the level of training, qualification, logistical support and human resources, the required needs, the existing difficulties and proposals to overcome them.
