Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Sultan Al-Arada, stressed on Monday that building a strong national army represents the basic pillar for the stability of the state, restoring its kidnapped institutions, and confronting various challenges.
This came in his speech during the graduation ceremony of the third semester courses of the Operations Authority's specialized schools (Armored Company Leaders, Drone Aviation, Military Engineering, and Cyber Security) in the city of Marib, according to the Yemeni News Agency "Saba".
In his speech, Major General Al-Arada stressed the need to pay attention to training and qualification of members of the armed forces and security, and to adopt sound and modern foundations in training that contribute to improving their capabilities, developing their skills in using modern weapons and technology, and raising their efficiency in planning and implementation in various combat environments.
He explained that the training period is not just theoretical preparation and practical application, but rather a period to shape the fighter’s mentality, consolidate national values, and enhance his sense of responsibility, since true power does not come from weapons and equipment, but from discipline, commitment, and loyalty to God and the homeland, and adherence to principles and constants.
He pointed out that wars are no longer as they were in the past decades, relying only on physical force and military equipment, as the transition from traditional means to modern means has become an urgent necessity in light of the rapid technological developments that the world is witnessing at the present time.
Al-Arada pointed out the importance of working to develop military systems and strategy in line with the challenges of future wars, starting with advanced electronic systems, to drones, smart weapons and cyber security, to enhance the efficiency and combat capability that enables the armed forces and security forces to carry out missions with greater accuracy and less human effort, and improve the speed of response and implementation, in addition to benefiting from modern electronic warfare tools, investing in technology and encouraging innovation to ensure military superiority.
Al-Arada addressed the heroes of our armed forces, security forces and popular resistance, saying, “You were and still are the safety valve of Yemen and its impregnable fortress, and you have proven to everyone that you are the loyal sons of Yemen who have bravely and courageously shouldered the responsibility of defending the homeland.”
He added: "You have always been in the front lines, sacrificing your most precious possessions so that the flag of Yemen will remain flying high in the sky of pride, freedom and dignity, and confronting anyone who dares to tamper with the security and stability of the homeland. We are certain that your efforts will bear fruit in defeating the dark projects and terrorist militias, and achieving victory and empowerment."
He continued: "The nation is counting on you and your likes and placing its hopes in you. Continue your journey with unwavering determination, and remember that every effort you make to protect the nation, raise its flag, and enhance its security and stability is a sacred duty."
Al-Aradi expressed his happiness at the graduation of a qualitative elite of the nation’s heroes who have completed their military training with merit and distinction within the specialized qualitative courses, expressing his hope that these skills and knowledge they have acquired will form the cornerstone of their future role in the ranks of the armed forces and security, and to perform their duties with high efficiency and professionalism.
For his part, the Chief of Operations, Major General Khaled Al-Ashoul, explained that the courses come within the framework of the Operations Authority’s interest in specialized training and qualitative qualification for leaders, officers and members of the armed forces, developing their skills and knowledge, and raising their professional competencies to enable them to perform their future tasks with high efficiency within the framework of preparing for and waging the battle to end the coup, and preserve the values of the republic and the goals and principles of the Yemeni revolution of September 26 and October 14.
