Saudi National Day: A comprehensive renaissance journey for an ambitious nation

Every year on September 23, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates its National Day, which is an occasion to take pride in the achievements made and to express the strong unity between the leadership and the people.

This day is not only a commemoration of the founding of a country, but also a reminder of the rich history and progress that the Kingdom has achieved over the decades, transforming from a simple state into one of the largest economic and technological powers in the region and the world.

While the world measures the progress of countries through advanced infrastructure; from modern bridges and road networks, to towering skyscrapers, and world-class airports, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has not only been within these standards, but has surpassed them in many areas. Today, it is witnessing an unprecedented transformation in all fields, advancing steadily towards a bright future.

The Saudi renaissance was not limited to construction and building, but extended to include all aspects of life. The most prominent of these aspects is the comprehensive educational renaissance, which began more than 50 years ago through scholarship programs to the most prestigious international universities. The number of Saudi scholarship students has exceeded hundreds of thousands, which led to the establishment of a base of academics and specialists in various disciplines, which contributed to enhancing the national development process.

The Kingdom has also emerged as a world-class university, including King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, which has become a center for advanced scientific research, in addition to technology cities such as King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, which is a leading center for innovation and scientific research, reflecting the Kingdom’s ambition to transform into a knowledge-based society based on modern technology.

The development witnessed by the Kingdom today is not limited to material construction only, but rather it is a comprehensive development that affects the life of the Saudi citizen in all its aspects. The Kingdom is racing against time to achieve the ambitious Vision 2030, which aims to build a more prosperous and sustainable future for future generations.

Under the wise leadership, Saudi Arabia continues to strive for further development in various fields, from education and innovation to the economy and culture. For more than three decades I have lived in Saudi Arabia, I have seen all of this with my own eyes.

The National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an opportunity to celebrate the nation’s achievements and look forward to the bright future that awaits this great country, which combines authenticity and innovation, and balanced development and progress.
