What cannot be ignored so far is that the more the Houthis are immersed in a new conflict hotspot, the more their combat ability increases and the battlefield expands, and that the operational control of the coalition countries in the Red and Arabian Seas has been in serious question since the beginning of the year 2022.
Undermining legitimacy in exchange for Saudi Arabia’s exit does not mean the end of tension in Yemen, but rather transferring the conflict to international interveners, militarizing the region, and making the southern Red Sea a shooting range for international powers.
