Houthi formation with an Iranian identity

During my five and a half years of abduction in Houthi prisons, I noticed the presence of Iranian identity in those prisons. Some Houthi supervisors called themselves titles that bore the names of Iranian leaders. The Houthi supervisor who managed communications in the Political Security prison and rarely allowed them to the abductees according to the mood of the supervisors and the directives of the group’s leadership called himself “Khomeini.” As for their sectarian lectures that they give to the abductees, they do not lack glorification of Iran and presenting it as an Islamic model that calls for pride and subservience, with their great care to show Iranian films and series to the abductees.
The photo that showed a few days ago a Houthi formation in front of the Cabinet building in Sana’a wearing clothes without “ties,” as an imitation of the Iranian style, confirms the depth of Iranian penetration and the extent of the Houthis’ subordination to them. Since the arrival of the Guide’s regime to power in 1979, the Iranians have banned ties and prevented their sale in clothing stores, and issued legislation to prevent wearing them in all places and on all occasions. This is why the members of the Houthi formation appeared with an Iranian identity.
