Marib.. Commemorating the ninth anniversary of the martyrdom of Sheikh Nayef Al-Jamai in an event that witnessed the signing of his poetry collection

On Thursday, the city of Marib (eastern Yemen) witnessed an event commemorating the ninth anniversary of the martyrdom of Sheikh Nayef al-Jama’i.

In the event held by the “Glow of the Republic Forum” and sponsored by the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance, the collective martyr’s poetry collection was signed, documenting his literary and poetic works.

Many speeches were delivered at the event praising the virtues of the martyr and his heroic stances since the first shot of the popular resistance in Ibb Governorate, and his move to Al Dhale’ until he was martyred while advancing the ranks on the Damt front.

The event concluded with the presentation of the Republic’s Glow Shield to Professor Majid Al-Awdi in recognition of his efforts in compiling the Martyr’s Diwan. A number of personalities and entities supporting the immortalization and documentation of resistance literature were also honored.

Sheikh Nayef Al-Jama’i was martyred on November 7, 2015, in battles with the terrorist Houthi militia on the Damt front in Al-Dhale’ Governorate.

It is noteworthy that the martyr Nayef Al-Jamai was one of the leaders of the popular resistance in Ibb Governorate. He was an eloquent writer and poet, and had many poetic productions that were chanted by many Yemeni artists and singers. He was also one of the most prominent leaders in the peaceful popular youth revolution of 2011.
