A child ends his life in mysterious circumstances in one of the towns of Ibb Governorate

A 14-year-old boy committed suicide in mysterious circumstances in a town in Ibb Governorate (central Yemen).

Local sources said that a child from the Al Sharqi district in Madhikharah district, southwest of Ibb, committed suicide yesterday, Thursday.

The sources added that the child ended his life by hanging himself, in an incident whose circumstances are still unclear.

This is the third incident of its kind in the governorate within a week, amid community calls for the need for society and authorities to come together to address the escalating phenomenon, raise awareness of its dangers, and work to find solutions.

The governorate, which is under the control of the terrorist Houthi militia, is witnessing a significant increase in suicide incidents, most of which are due to psychological conditions caused by the difficult living conditions of citizens as a result of the repercussions of the war that has been ongoing for ten years.
