Secretary General of the Reform Party Abdul Wahab Al-Ansi

The Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party denied what activists circulated on social media today, Monday, regarding allegations that the security authorities in Germany arrested its Secretary-General, Mohammed Al-Ansi.

This came in a statement issued by the Islah Party's media, published on the party's website, "Islah Net".

Al-Islah expressed its surprise at the lies that some mouthpieces have been marketing, in a desperate attempt to harm Al-Islah and its leaders, and the blatant persistence in fabricating rumors that have no basis in truth except in the sick imagination of those who spread them.

The Islah Party mocked the false allegations spread by these mouthpieces targeting its Secretary-General, explaining that "these lies express the state of bankruptcy and the sick hidden insides, denying the validity of these allegations, and considering them slander and false stories."

He called on the media to be careful when dealing with those who spread lies, fabrications and slander, and to work on verifying accuracy and credibility, and not to be drawn in by the mouthpieces that devote their efforts to insulting national forces and figures.

Al-Islah stressed that it and its Secretary-General "reserve their legal right to prosecute anyone who issued these lies."

It is noteworthy that activists on social media had circulated posts stating that the German authorities had arrested Abdul Wahab Al-Ansi, after allegations of monitoring Al-Ansi’s bank accounts.
