The forces affiliated with Presidential Council member Tariq Saleh released four citizens from the Al-Waziyah District, west of Taiz, today, Thursday, in exchange for the release of one of their affiliated members, after they were kidnapped on charges of working for the Houthi.

Local sources said that the National Resistance Forces released on Thursday, through local mediation, four citizens from Al-Wazi’iyah after they kidnapped them and accused them of working for the Houthi militia: They are: (Ali Ahmed Salem Haider Al-Mashuli, Abdo Saleh Salem Al-Mashuli, Ali Mahfouz Malahi Al-Bukari, Abdo Abdullah sword).

The sources explained that they were released in exchange for the release of the tribes by Adeeb Abdul Rahman Saleh, who is from the Tariq Saleh group and works as an engineer on the Al-Kadha Road.

In early June, Tariq Saleh's forces kidnapped Ali Salem Haider Al-Mashuli, along with three others whom they arrested at different times, which prompted the tribes to kidnap two soldiers from the National Resistance Forces, with the aim of pressuring them to release them.

Last June 20, Tariq's forces launched a security campaign in Al-Wazi'iyah District and clashes broke out with the tribes, and then announced that they were able to liberate the two soldiers.

Last week, Al-Mashawla kidnapped the engineer affiliated with Tariq’s group, and on Thursday, he was exchanged for four members of the Wazi’iyya tribes, through local mediation.
