The third of its kind within a week.. A citizen was killed by his brother’s bullets in Bayhan, west of Shabwa

A citizen was shot dead by his brother in a town in Shabwa Governorate (southeast of Yemen), in a domestic violence incident, the third of its kind in about a week.

Local sources said that the citizen, Sami Ahmed Nasser Al-Ghantala, was killed on Saturday by his brother in the Bayhan district, west of Shabwa Governorate.

The sources added that the incident occurred against the backdrop of family disputes that broke out between the two brothers.

The incident comes days after a citizen was killed by his son, and a citizen was killed and his wife and their son were injured, shot by one of their relatives in the Upper Egypt District in the same governorate.

In recent months and years, family-related murders and revenge cases have escalated in the governorate, which is under the control of the UAE-backed Transitional Council forces.
