Aden.. Transitional forces kidnap a merchant and loot his belongings and documents after raiding his house in Khormaksar

Gunmen affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council kidnapped a merchant at dawn on Thursday, after raiding his home and looting his belongings and documents, in the interim capital, Aden, in the south of the country.

Human rights sources said that soldiers wearing masks and black military uniforms stormed the house of merchant Saeed Omar Bashrahil, located near the coast of Abyan, in Khormaksar District.

The sources explained that the soldiers were wearing the uniform of the so-called counter-terrorism forces, as they stormed the house of the merchant "Basharahil", kidnapped him and took him to an unknown location.

The sources confirmed that the Transitional Forces tampered with the contents of the house, looted documents and a locked safe after the storming, without knowing the reasons.

In recent days, the Transitional Forces have escalated their actions, kidnapping a number of civilians, including a mosque imam, and civilian citizens from their homes without knowing the reasons.
