Two soldiers were killed and three others were injured on Saturday in clashes between the Transitional Council forces and the Houthi militia on the fronts north of Lahj Governorate, south of Yemen.

Military sources said that the Houthi militia launched an attack on Saturday morning on sites belonging to the Security Belt Forces on the Qurain and Ahama fronts, west of Al-Musaimeer District, north of Lahj.

The sources confirmed that the Transitional Forces were able to repel the attack, which resulted in the killing of two of its soldiers: "Salem Nasser Saleh, Younis Nasser Hajeb", and the wounding of three others (while the militias' losses were not known).

Every now and then, the Houthi militia launches attacks on the positions of those forces stationed north of Lahj, but they have not achieved any progress on the ground, according to the same sources.
