Media sources said that forces affiliated with the UAE-backed Transitional Council kidnapped journalist Fahmi Al-Alimi on Thursday morning in the temporary capital, Aden.
According to sources, journalist Al-Alimi was kidnapped in the Cairo area, in Sheikh Othman District in Aden.
The sources stated that journalist Al-Alimi is being held in a security belt prison near the nursing home in Sheikh Othman District.
The reasons for Al-Alimi's kidnapping have not been mentioned yet, while the city's de facto authorities have not issued any significant statement at the time of writing this news.
This comes at a time when sources indicated that the transitional forces have intensified their campaigns targeting journalists, media professionals, and social media activists during the past hours.
