Escalation of Laqmush tribes in Shabwa
Today, Thursday, the Laqmush tribes in Shabwa Governorate announced new escalation steps to demand the release of two of their sons who are hidden in the prisons of the Transitional Council in Aden, after the failure of mediation led by Governor Awad Ibn Al-Wazir during the past weeks.
A local source told "Yemeni Youth Net" that the Laqmush tribes held a meeting on Thursday morning in the Al-Aram area in Habban District to discuss the latest developments in the case of the sons of Sheikh Saeed Muqdah Al-Qamishi (Saleh and Muhammad), who have been hidden in the prisons of the Transitional Council in Aden for 9 years.
The source added that the Communication and Follow-up Committee in the case confirmed the failure of the mediation led by Governor Awad Ibn Al-Wazir and the head of the Transitional Council of Shabwa, regarding the release of Sheikh Al-Qamishi's sons.
The tribes tasked the Communication Committee with arranging and coordinating the upcoming escalation steps and activities, stressing that their options are open for escalation to ensure the release of their sons who have been missing in Aden since 2016.
It is noteworthy that the Laqmush tribes had given the governor, Awad bin Al-Wazir, and the head of the Shabwa Transitional Council, Lahmar Ali Lasud, a deadline until November 3 to lead efforts to release the sons of Sheikh Saeed Al-Qamishi, but that mediation did not reach any results.
