ship in the red sea
The Houthi armed group said on Thursday that it had targeted two American ships in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean.
According to Houthi media, the group targeted an American oil tanker in the Red Sea with 11 ballistic missiles and two drones, and that it hit it directly.
It also claimed to have targeted another ship in the Indian Ocean with a cruise missile.
Early Thursday morning, two maritime security agencies said a chemical tanker was damaged in an attack southwest of Yemen's Hodeidah port.
The armed group, classified as a terrorist group, deliberately targeted ships in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean under the pretext of supporting Gaza and Palestine.
