The General Union of Yemeni Students at Taiz University holds a celebratory event on the occasion of the revolution holidays

Today, Tuesday, the General Union of Yemeni Students at the Faculty of Arts at Taiz University held a celebratory event for the glorious Yemeni Revolution holidays of September 26 and October 14, in the presence of the First Deputy Governor of Taiz, Dr. Abdul-Qawi Al-Mikhlafi, Head of the Preparatory Committee for the Celebrations of the Yemeni Revolution Holidays.

At the ceremony, Al-Mikhlafi stressed in the local authority’s speech the importance of celebrating the blessed Yemeni revolution holidays and remembering the first generation of the revolution that represented a historical turning point in the journey of the great Yemeni people, and awakened their awareness of the struggle towards freedom and independence.

He pointed out that the student movement was the beating heart of the revolution, and that the students were at the forefront of the struggle for dignity and freedom since the outbreak of the September 26 Revolution, expressing his pride in the courage and strong will of the students.

He stressed their role in defending the principles of the Republic and confronting attempts to return to the eras of injustice and tyranny, recalling the positions of the martyr Hussein Al-Qadi, President of the General Union of Yemeni Students - Taiz University, who is a model to be emulated for the revolutionary student who sacrificed his life for the sake of the homeland, thanking the leadership of Taiz University for their great role in raising an aware and struggling generation.

For his part, Rabie Al-Tuwaij, representative of the Faculty of Arts Union, explained that this event comes within the union’s goals to deepen the national spirit among students, stressing the prominent role of students in the revolution through demonstrations against the Imamate, pointing out the importance of spreading awareness of the values of the republic among the tribesmen.
