Taiz.. Al-Thawra Hospital employees go on strike in protest of the suspension of their salaries

On Saturday, the cadres and employees of the Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in the city of Taiz (southwest of Yemen) began a complete strike in protest against the suspension of their salaries for about three months.

A medical source told Yemen Youth Net that the employees and cadres of the Al-Thawra Hospital Authority began a full strike on Saturday morning as a result of their salaries being stopped for three months and not being paid by the Finance Department in Aden.

The source added that the strike by the staff and employees caused work to stop in the hospital departments, except for the artificial kidney and emergency departments.

He pointed out that the employees confirmed that they would continue the strike until solutions were found for the salary problem.

The medical staff at the Revolution Hospital Authority in Taiz had carried out a partial strike for two hours a day during the past two weeks, as a result of the government agencies ignoring their demands to pay salaries.
