Hodeidah: Yemen Youth Net - Special
Local and human rights sources reported that the terrorist Houthi militia recently displaced residents of five villages in Al-Jarahi District, south of Al-Hodeidah Governorate (western Yemen), and turned them into military sites.
The sources told "Yemeni Youth Net" that the Houthi militia forced the remaining residents of the village of "Al-Akda" and four neighboring villages south of Al-Jarahi District to flee their homes by force, and positioned themselves inside them after bringing in military reinforcements.
The sources added that the militia brought heavy weapons to the area, including "guided missile platforms, Katyusha batteries, howitzers, four-wheel drive vehicles, and motorcycles," in addition to engineering construction equipment.
The sources explained that the militia deployed a large number of its members in citizens' homes, barracks, and tunnels that it rehabilitated again after they were buried by the torrents of rain that the region witnessed during the last months.
These movements come in conjunction with similar displacement operations of the residents of the village of " Manzar " in the Al-Hawak Directorate, south of Hodeidah, after the deployment of large military reinforcements from several governorates and the holding of military maneuvers.
The sources did not rule out that the militia's movements south of Al-Jarahi are a prelude to launching a military operation towards the liberated districts of Hays and Al-Khokha.
During the last few weeks, the terrorist Houthi militia has intensified its hostile operations towards government forces’ positions in the liberated areas south of Hodeidah, from its positions on the contact lines in the areas under its control in the Al-Jarahi and Jabal Ras directorates, targeting populated areas, causing deaths and injuries among civilians.
And in mid-October, The Houthi militia withdrew its elements from dozens of military points in the streets and entrances of the capital, Sanaa, Dhamar and Ibb, and pushed them to Hodeidah.
