Fire in a public transport bus on the international line in Marib
About 50 passengers survived, on Tuesday, after a fire engulfed a public transport bus on the international road in the Safer area of Marib Governorate, northeastern Yemen.
Travellers said that a fire engulfed a bus belonging to the Express public transport company, which was coming from Saudi Arabia. The bus caught fire and was carrying about 50 passengers who were able to get off before the fire spread, without any human injuries.
The sources indicated that the fire brigades of Safer Company rushed to the scene of the fire and were able to extinguish it, but it caused significant damage to the bus.
This is the third incident in about a month, after a fire engulfed two public transport buses in Abyan last month, amid accusations that transport companies replaced buses coming from Saudi Arabia with worn-out ones at the Al-Wadiah crossing.
