Director of Civil Service in Lahj: 1,384 dual civil servants in the governorate

The Director of the Civil Service and Insurance Office in Lahj Governorate, in the south of the country, Muhammad Madas, said that the number of civilian employees with dual and similar names in 17 administrative facilities in the governorate, who were monitored in the military sector, reached 1,029 employees.

This came during the inauguration of the service office in Lahj, today, Sunday, to conduct the matching process between dual employees in the civil and military sectors, and the civil and security sectors in the governorate, according to the Saba Agency.

Madas explained that 355 dual civil servants with similar names in 16 administrative units in the governorate were identified in the security sector, with a total of 1,384 dual civil servants.

He explained that the public offices in Lahj Governorate, in which cases of dual employment were discovered, and the names and numbers of their employees were found in the military service, whether in a duplicate position or with a similar name, are: the Education Offices, and the number of its dual employees is 600 employees.

He added that in the Public Health and Population Office, 99 employees were duplicated, 23 employees in Agriculture and Irrigation, 16 employees in Technical Education and Vocational Training, 14 employees in Public Works and Roads, 9 employees in Finance, 7 employees in Local Administration, 2 employees in Youth and Sports, 1 employee in Planning and International Cooperation, and 1 employee in Legal Affairs.

He continued, as for the Tax Authority, the number of dual employees reached 2 employees, Lahj University 23 employees, the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation 9 employees, the General Authority for Rural Water Projects branch 2 employees, the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges branch 2 employees, the General Corporation for Improved Seed Multiplication branch 2 employees, and the Military Retirement Fund in the governorate 217 dual employees.

He noted that the public offices in Lahj Governorate, from which cases of dual employment were deduced, and the names and numbers of their employees in the security field were found, whether in the duplicate position or in the similarity of the name, are the education offices, and the number of its dual employees is 251 employees, and the public health and population office has 44 employees.

He added that the Agriculture and Irrigation Office has 9 employees, Technical Education and Vocational Training has 4 employees, Public Works and Roads has 5 employees, Finance has 9 employees, Local Administration has 2 employees, Youth and Sports has 1 employee, Civil Service and Insurance has 1 employee, Legal Affairs has 1 employee, Tax Authority has 3 employees, Lahj University has 10 employees, Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation has 8 employees, General Authority for Lands, Survey and Urban Planning branch has 1 employee, General Corporation for Roads and Bridges branch has 3 employees, and Central Statistical Organization branch in the governorate has 2 employees.

Madas renewed his call to dual employees to quickly go to the matching committee and complete the data of dual employees and employees with similar names at the Civil Service and Insurance Office in Lahj Governorate, within a maximum period of two weeks starting from today, Sunday.

He stressed that all cases of duplicate status and those who have failed to complete their job information will be subject to the final download from the central database of the Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance in the interim capital, Aden, and will be subject to legal procedures and accountability due to their evasion of responsibility for correcting their job status and stability, and their stability in only one official job, and only one government employer, and receiving only one salary in it.
