He also expressed "deep condemnation of the Israeli military operations that targeted Lebanese territory, and rejection of the threat to Lebanon's security and stability, the violation of its territorial integrity, and the displacement of its citizens."

The Saudi Crown Prince stressed "the Kingdom's support for our brothers in Palestine and Lebanon to overcome the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of the ongoing Israeli aggression."

He called on "the international community to assume its responsibilities to maintain international peace and security by immediately halting the Israeli attacks on our brothers in Palestine and Lebanon, and obligating Israel to respect the sovereignty of the sisterly Islamic Republic of Iran and not to attack its territories."

In the same speech, the Saudi Crown Prince said: “Our countries have taken important steps through their joint action at the international level to condemn the sinful Israeli aggression and affirm the centrality of the Palestinian cause, and we have succeeded in urging more peace-loving countries to recognize the State of Palestine.”

He pointed out to the "Arab and Islamic mobilization for the international meeting to support the rights of the Palestinian people, which was expressed in the resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly considering Palestine eligible for full membership in the United Nations, and the demand to end the illegal Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories."

He added: "We launched the international coalition to implement the two-state solution in partnership with the European Union and the Kingdom of Norway, which recently hosted its first meeting, and we call on the rest of the countries to join this coalition."

The Saudi Crown Prince stressed "the importance of continuing our joint efforts to establish a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital."

Last September, Saudi Arabia announced, on behalf of Arab and Islamic countries and European partners, the launch of the “International Alliance to Implement the Two-State Solution,” during the ministerial meeting on the Palestinian issue and peace efforts, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly.

He also stressed the "need to preserve the sovereignty of the Lebanese state over all its territories."

Earlier on Monday, the summit was opened by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to Saudi Al-Ekhbariya TV, which noted that the summit will witness "the issuance of a final statement unanimously agreed upon by the 57 countries participating in the Arab-Islamic summit."

This summit comes as an "extension of the joint Arab-Islamic summit held in Riyadh on November 11, 2023," according to a statement by the Saudi Foreign Ministry on Sunday.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with full American support, has been waging a "genocidal" war on Gaza, resulting in more than 146,000 Palestinian deaths and injuries, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.

Since September 23, Israel has been waging an aggression on Lebanon that is “the most violent and extensive” since the beginning of the confrontations with Hezbollah more than a year ago, resulting in 3,189 deaths and 14,078 injuries, including a large number of children and women, in addition to about 1.4 million displaced people, according to Anadolu Agency’s monitoring of official Lebanese data until Saturday evening.
