"As far as I know, she has not undertaken any scientific work since then," Akush Torok, a retired physicist who was one of her professors at University College London and published with her at the time, told Reuters by email.
The CV she used to work with Kleinschmidt included references to other advanced degrees in politics and development from the University of London's School of Economics and the School of Oriental and African Studies, but Reuters could not verify these degrees.
Her CV also included references to her work in several positions in NGO projects in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
In a separate biography on the BAC Consulting website, she describes herself as a “board member of the Earthchild Institute,” an educational and environmental charity in New York.
Donna Goodman, the institute's founder, told Reuters that Parsoni Arsidiacco had no role there at all.
“She was a friend of a friend of a board member’s and contacted us about a job opening,” she added, in 2018, “but she was not invited to apply.”
The resume also mentions her work as a "project manager" at the International Atomic Energy Agency in 2008 and 2009, organizing a nuclear research conference. The agency said its records indicate that Parsoni Arsidiacou interned there for eight months.
The website of BAC Consulting, which was shut down at the end of this week, gave few details of its actual work in Hungary.
“I am a scientist who uses my very diverse background to work on multidisciplinary projects to make strategic decisions (in the areas of water policy, climate and investments),” Parsoni Arsidiacou wrote in her bio.
“With excellent analytical, language and interpersonal skills, I enjoy working and leading in a multicultural environment where diversity, integrity and humor are valued,” she added.
