IOM: 30 Yemeni families displaced during the past week

The International Organization for Migration announced, on Monday, the displacement of 30 families from several Yemeni governorates due to security and economic concerns.

The organization said in its weekly report that its displacement matrix tracked the displacement of 30 Yemeni families during the period from November 3 to 9.

She added that the displacement operations originated from Hodeidah, Taiz, Ibb and Al Jawf and settled in Marib (21 families), Hodeidah (9 families) and Taiz (4 families).

She explained that concerns related to safety and security were the main reason for the displacement of 18 families, representing 60% of the total displaced, while economic conditions were behind the displacement of 40% of the displaced, representing 12 families.

She pointed out that the total number of displaced persons increased during the period from January 1 to November 9, 2024, to 3,112 families representing (18,672 individuals).
