Football fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the return of the major European leagues for the 2024-2025 season, given the strength of the competition and the high level presented by European clubs every year.

The European leagues usually return to action in mid-August of each year, which means that we are only a few days away from the start of the strongest tournaments, especially since the new season comes after a hot summer that witnessed the European Cup (Euro 2024), Copa America 2024 and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Through the following report, we take a quick look at the start dates of the five major leagues in Europe, namely the English, Spanish, Italian, German, and French, which enjoy much higher viewership rates than their counterparts in the Old Continent.

Manchester City won the Premier League title last season 2023-2024 for the fourth time in a row and the tenth in its history after a fierce competition with Arsenal that continued until the last round.

Manchester City collected 91 points from 28 wins, 7 draws and 3 losses, to win the title by two points over the Gunners.

The new season of the English Premier League kicks off on Friday, August 16, 2024, with Manchester United hosting Fulham at Old Trafford.
