The people of As-Saddah District in Ibb Governorate celebrated the release of a number of the district’s youth from Houthi militia prisons, who were kidnapped for the sake of celebrating the National Day of the September 26 Revolution.

Local sources and eyewitnesses told "Yemeni Youth Net" that thousands took to the streets in As-Saddah district to welcome a number of the kidnapped people who were released after sixty days in Houthi cells late Friday night.

She added that the released kidnapped persons are: Amin Al-Ashoul, Ghaleb Shaizar, Abdo Al-Ziyadi, Omar Sand, and Abdulmalik Al-Tha'ili.

The crowds raised the national flags and chanted republican slogans and several slogans, including “With our souls and blood we will redeem you, Yemen,” and launched fireworks into the sky of the directorate in Ibb Governorate, central Yemen.

She said that thousands also celebrated with drums, chants and ululations, and the release of the kidnapped people turned into a national event in the As-Saddah District.

According to the sources, the crowds extended from the entrance to the directorate center, "Al-Farza", to Al-Muhammarah Square in the center of Al-Sada city in Ibb Governorate, to Al-Tuwaiti, Al-Habali villages, and other villages.

This reception is a direct response to the Houthi attempts to suppress the popular celebration of the Republic Day in the As-Saddah District, the birthplace of Ali Abdul-Mughni, the most prominent leader of the September 26 Revolution.
