Five people were killed in two separate incidents in Ibb Governorate (central Yemen) amid widespread chaos in the governorate, which is under the control of the Houthi coup militia.

Local sources said that clashes broke out between gunmen in the village of Al-Awader in Al-Wazira district, in the Far’ Al-Udayn district, west of Ibb governorate, which led to the killing of four people from both sides of the conflict.

The sources added that a dispute broke out between a citizen from the area who works in selling weapons, named "Abdo Saleh Al-Ghabshi" and his son, and three others from the Sharab area in the neighboring Taiz governorate, which developed into an exchange of gunfire between the two sides.

The sources explained that one of the gunmen coming from Sharab, named "Amin Al-Sharabi", shot "Al-Ghabshi" and killed him, before "Al-Ghabshi's" son killed him and two others who were next to him and fled.

In another incident, a young man was shot dead by unknown assailants in a qat farm in the Al-Sahoul area, north of Ibb city.

The sources said that a young man named "Osama Al-Raawi" - a qat farm guard - was killed by unknown gunmen in the village of Al-Manqoudah at the Habish junction, which is administratively affiliated with the Al-Makhader Directorate, which is witnessing security chaos and the widespread spread of bandit gangs linked to the Houthi militia.
