The Human Rights Association organized a photo exhibition in the United Nations Square in the Swiss city of Geneva, documenting the crimes and violations of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime against the Yemeni people.
The exhibition, which was held on the sidelines of the 57th session of the Human Rights Council, contained dozens of photos documenting the images and numbers of victims, and revealing the extent of the crimes of the Houthi militias, for which the Yemenis will pay the price for several years to come, according to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba).
The exhibition aims to remind the world that the Houthi militia has planted more than two million mines in various governorates, turning Yemen into the largest minefield ever.
The Humanitarian Association stated in a statement that the Houthi militias did not abide by the ban on landmines and that civilians pay the price on a daily basis. It stressed the need to expedite the removal of landmines to save civilians, and to pressure the militias to hand over maps of the mines they planted over the past ten years.
The statement stressed that peace efforts must begin with removing mines and explosive devices planted by the Houthi militia, which are the most prominent daily dangers facing civilians and have claimed the lives of thousands of civilians, killed and wounded. These are crimes and behaviors that contradict all laws, moral and humanitarian values, international laws, and human rights.
