Hezbollah bombed military sites in Haifa and Tiberias with rockets, wounding 10 people, while Israel launched violent raids on the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The Israeli Rambam Hospital announced that it had received 6 injuries so far as a result of missiles falling in Haifa, and the Lebanese Hezbollah said, "We bombed the Carmel base south of Haifa with 'Fadi 1' missiles in defense of Lebanon and its people."

The Israeli army also said that 5 rockets were launched from Lebanon towards Haifa, and the defenses failed to intercept them, while the Israeli Broadcasting Authority announced that two people were injured, between moderate and serious, in Tiberias as a result of the rockets being launched towards the city.

Many areas surrounding Haifa have witnessed rocket launches and interceptions, but this is the first time that the city center has been targeted.

For its part, Hezbollah said it targeted an Israeli military base near Haifa in northern Israel for the third time on Sunday, after two drone attacks targeted another base in the same area.

Beirut suburb bombing

Meanwhile, a new Israeli bombardment targeted the southern suburb of Beirut on Sunday, according to what the Lebanese National News Agency reported, shortly after the Israeli army called on residents to evacuate two areas in the Hezbollah stronghold that has been subjected to continuous bombardment for several days.

The official agency said: "The enemy warplanes launched two raids on the southern suburb, the first targeted the Saint Therese area, and the second targeted the Burj al-Barajneh area."

A source close to Hezbollah told AFP that the raid that targeted Sainte Therese leveled a building to the ground.

Later, the agency reported two additional raids on the suburb, one of which targeted the area of the incident and was described as "violent." Video footage showed four strikes, one of which caused a large explosion, scattered burning shrapnel, and thick black smoke.

Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee said in a post on the X platform: “Urgent warning to the residents of Burj al-Barajneh and al-Hadath (…) You are located near Hezbollah facilities and interests, and the IDF will carry out operations against them soon,” calling on the residents of the two areas to evacuate them.

The National News Agency said that the southern suburb was subjected to more than 30 strikes during the night of Saturday to Sunday, in one of the most intense waves of shelling so far.
