Today, Sunday, the Masam Project for Mine Clearance in Yemen announced the removal of 766 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices in several Yemeni governorates.
The project said in a statement issued by its media center that its field teams were able, during the period from August 31 to September 6, to remove 766 deadly explosive materials, distributed among 702 unexploded ordnance, 41 anti-tank mines, 12 anti-personnel mines, and 11 explosive devices.
He added that the field teams disinfected 262,816 square metres during the same period.
The project indicated that its field teams have been able, since the beginning of their work in mid-2018, to date, to identify and destroy 458,477 explosive materials in the liberated areas of Yemen.
