A civilian was killed and another was injured in two separate incidents, as a result of the explosion of a Houthi mine and a projectile from the remnants of war, in the governorates of Hodeidah and Ma'rib (western and eastern Yemen).

The Yemeni Mine Observatory reported on Friday, in a brief statement on its Facebook page, that a civilian named (Judat Jaber Ahmed Majhasi - 28 years old) was killed by a Houthi mine explosion in Hodeidah.

He added that the incident occurred while the victim was returning from the market on a motorcycle in the "Qadbah" area in the Al-Duraihimi district, south of the city of Hodeidah.

In a similar incident, the Observatory reported that citizen Ali Abdullah Al-Wahbi was seriously injured by the explosion of a projectile from the remnants of war in Mahliyah District in Ma'rib Governorate.

Al Hudaydah and Ma'rib governorates are among the Yemeni governorates most contaminated with Houthi mines and explosive remnants of war, and their incidents have caused the death and injury of hundreds of civilians over the past years.
