The Masam Mine Clearance Project in Yemen announced, on Sunday, the removal of 670 mines and unexploded ordnance during the past week in several Yemeni governorates.
The center said in a statement to its media center that field teams removed 670 land mines and unexploded ordnance last week, including five anti-personnel mines, 47 anti-tank mines, 570 unexploded ordnance, and 21 explosive devices, bringing the total of explosive materials removed in July to 4,900. .
The statement stated that the project's demining teams cleared 179,498 square meters of Yemeni territory during the same period.
Since the launch of the project at the end of June 2018 until now, Masam project teams have removed 453,968 explosive materials.
