The United Nations Mission to support the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA) announced that 55 civilians were killed and injured as a result of Houthi mine and explosive incidents in Hodeidah (western Yemen) during the first seven months of this year.

This came in a summary collected by the editor of "Yemen Youth Net" from the mission's monthly reports for the period from January 1 to July 31.

According to the statistics, 24 civilians were killed, while 31 others were injured during the period, in 36 incidents witnessed by a number of the governorate’s directorates.

According to the mission's reports, the districts of Al Hali, Ad Durayhimi and At Tuhayta were among the districts most affected by these incidents.

Yesterday evening, the UN mission issued its report for the month of July, explaining that it recorded only one incident in the Hays district, which caused only three injuries.

She pointed out that the month recorded the lowest rate of accidents in the governorate since October 2021.
