Al-Alimi with the Crown Prince of Jordan

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, discussed today with the Crown Prince of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the resumption of Royal Jordanian Airlines flights to Aden International Airport.

This came during the meeting held on the sidelines of his participation in the Climate Summit (COP29) held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, with ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and develop joint cooperation in various fields.

According to Saba News Agency, the Joint Supreme Committee was activated, headed by the Prime Ministers of the two countries.

The two sides reviewed the developments in Yemen, the current events in the Red Sea, and the continued intransigence of the Houthi militias and their rejection of all efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace and alleviating the humanitarian crisis suffered by the Yemeni people.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi praised the close historical relations between the two countries and brotherly peoples, appreciating the steadfast positions of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in supporting legitimacy, and its pivotal role in supporting the Yemeni government and standing by the Yemeni people in light of the current challenges.

Al-Alimi expressed his thanks to Jordan for hosting the Yemenis who sought refuge there, escaping the hostile practices of the Houthi militias.

The Leadership Council member and the Jordanian Crown Prince discussed the escalating Israeli aggression on Palestinian and Lebanese territories, stressing the importance of Arab and Islamic solidarity on this central issue.
