Saudi Arabia and Jordan denied on Saturday that their airspace was used in the Israeli attack on Iran at dawn, expressing their condemnation of the attack that resulted in the killing of two Iranian officers, according to the army’s announcement, while the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that Tehran is “right and obligated to defend itself against foreign aggression.”

A Saudi official told Reuters on Saturday that the kingdom's airspace was not used during the Israeli airstrikes on Iran. The Saudi Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli attack on Iran, calling it a violation of Tehran's sovereignty and a breach of international laws and norms.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that "the Kingdom affirms its firm position in rejecting the continued escalation and expansion of the conflict that threatens the security and stability of the countries of the region and their peoples."

The statement urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint and de-escalation, and warned of the consequences of continuing military conflicts in the region. The Saudi Foreign Ministry called on the international community and influential and effective parties to assume their roles and responsibilities towards de-escalation and ending conflicts in the region.

In turn, the Jordanian army announced today that it will not allow any military aircraft to cross the kingdom’s airspace, following the Israeli attack on Iran. A statement published by the army on its website, quoting a military source described as “responsible,” said that “no military aircraft were allowed to cross Jordanian airspace by the conflicting parties in the region.”

He pointed out that "the armed forces were closely following the military escalation that occurred during the past hours," stressing that "the Royal Air Force was monitoring the situation with great interest, and was ready to protect the homeland," calling on citizens to "take information from its official sources, and not to be drawn into rumors that are not based on any facts."

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the airstrikes launched by Israel on Iranian territory, considering them a "violation of international law and a violation of its sovereignty, and a dangerous escalation that leads to more tension in the region."

The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Sufyan Al-Qudah, stressed in a statement today the Kingdom's "absolute rejection of the dangerous escalation in the region and violations of international law," warning against slipping into a conflict that threatens the stability of the region and international security.

The judges called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and take immediate measures to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon, as a first step towards reducing the escalation, stopping Israel’s violations of international law and UN resolutions, and protecting the security and stability of the region from the disastrous consequences of continued Israeli attacks.

The Israeli army launched a series of attacks on Iran at dawn on Saturday, lasting about four hours, targeting “missile manufacturing facilities used to produce the missiles that Iran fired at Israel,” in addition to “surface-to-air missile arrays and additional Iranian aviation capabilities that were intended to restrict the Israeli air operation in Iran,” according to the occupation army, which vowed to respond “if the Iranian regime made the mistake of starting a new round of escalation.”

The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression "against several military sites in Iran, in flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter," noting that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always affirmed its self-right to legitimate defense in implementation of Article 51 of the UN Charter and considers itself "rightful and obligated to defend itself against foreign acts of aggression."
