The Presidential Leadership Council affirmed the state's keenness to bear full responsibility for alleviating the burden of living conditions, with its absolute commitment to strengthening unity of ranks and focusing on the fateful battle to restore state institutions and end the coup.
This came during the meeting held, headed by the President, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, and attended by its members Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, Sultan Al-Arada, Tariq Saleh, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, Othman Majli, and Faraj Al-Bahsani, while Council member Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami was absent due to an excuse.
According to Saba News Agency, the Council renewed its support for the path of economic and service reforms coordinated with regional and international partners, noting in this context the role of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in supporting the state’s efforts to fulfill its inevitable obligations, foremost of which is paying employees’ salaries and securing basic goods and services.
The meeting was devoted to discussing developments in the economic, living and service conditions, most notably the variables related to fluctuations in exchange rates, basic commodities, commercial shipping, and their humanitarian repercussions, which were exacerbated by the attacks of the terrorist Houthi militias, agents of the Iranian regime, on oil facilities and international shipping lines.
The meeting also discussed a number of local entitlements, issues and developments, including the situation in Hadhramaut Governorate, and took the necessary measures and decisions regarding them.
In its meeting, the Leadership Council discussed regional and international developments related to the dangerous escalation of the Israeli occupation forces in the Palestinian and Lebanese territories and their repercussions on international peace and security.
In this regard, the Presidential Leadership Council welcomed the invitation of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to hold a joint Arab-Islamic follow-up summit on the 11th of this month, in addition to its highly appreciated initiative to launch an international coalition to support the two-state solution.
The Council affirmed Yemen's firm and supportive position on the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent, fully sovereign state in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
He also renewed Yemen's position in support of the Lebanese state, its sovereignty and its exclusive right to monopolize weapons, and the decisions of peace and war, stressing that stopping the Israeli aggression and its brutal violations is the key to the desired peace, and an entry point to lift the cover from the pretexts of Iran and its agents to exacerbate the situation, and their desperate attempts to confiscate the national wills of the peoples of the region.
