The Laqmush tribes in Shabwa Governorate gave the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and the Southern Transitional Council eight days to reveal the fate of their sons who have been forcibly disappeared for eight years in the interim capital, Aden, in southern Yemen.
The tribes said in a statement that the sons of the Laqmush tribes gathered this morning, Monday, from their various regions and villages and held an expanded consultative meeting in the "Al-Aram" area, Habban District, Shabwa Governorate, to discuss and study the issue of the sons of Sheikh "Saeed bin Omar Muqdah Al-Qamishi", namely "Saleh and Mohammed", who have been kidnapped and forcibly disappeared for more than eight years in the capital, Aden.
The statement added, "The sons of the Laqmush tribes set a time period of eight days from the date of this meeting to reveal the fate of their sons and release them, and restore the reputation of the Laqmush tribes for what their sons were subjected to in terms of kidnapping, concealment, and defamation."
He pointed out that the attendees formed several committees in preparation for escalation steps in the event that the concerned parties do not respond and the specified period expires.
The Laqmush tribes also announced their full solidarity with the Jaadna tribe in the case of the kidnapped Ali Ashal, expressing their absolute rejection of all forms of illegal arrests.
The tribes also stressed their commitment to protecting the gains of the nation and the people and preserving public and private property, affirming that their sons have made great sacrifices for this purpose.
The case of Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashal Al-Jaadani, who was kidnapped and forcibly disappeared since the beginning of last June, reopened the file of dozens of kidnapped and forcibly disappeared persons in the formations of the Southern Transitional Council in Aden, some of whom have been since 2016.
