Watch.. The moment the suspect was arrested for shooting Trump

The Martin County Police Department in Florida posted on its Facebook page on Monday photos and a video of the pursuit and arrest of the suspect in the shooting incident near the golf club where presidential candidate Donald Trump was in Palm Beach on Sunday.

According to American media sources, the suspect fled in a black car that was tracked after an eyewitness succeeded in identifying it.

During the pursuit, a highway exit was blocked on Ryan Wesley Roth's car, 58, after he fled the scene of what authorities believe was a second assassination attempt on Trump.

A federal court in Florida on Monday charged Roth with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an erased serial number.

A detention hearing has been set for September 23, and an arraignment hearing has been set for September 30.

Ruth is expected to face additional charges at an additional hearing to be held at a later date.

In the brief first hearing, Roth appeared calm and answered "yes" in a hushed tone to several questions directed at him by Judge Rayon McCabe of the Southern District of Florida.

The FBI had previously announced that the Republican candidate for the November 5 elections was apparently the target of an assassination attempt in Florida on Sunday.
