The Brazilian star, who plays for the Saudi Al-Hilal Club, Neymar da Silva (32 years old), launched a sharp attack on the Spanish national team and Manchester City midfielder, Rodrigo Hernandez.

A few weeks ago, Rodri was crowned the winner of the 2024 Ballon d'Or, due to his recent statements, in which he criticized Real Madrid winger, Vinicius Junior, who came in second place in the prestigious award.

Rodri, who suffered a serious cruciate ligament injury that ended his season early, told El Larguero: "Vinicius is one of the best players in the world. He is an intelligent player and over time he has realised that the more he is on the pitch, the better he is."

"He has several aspects that he has to improve on like everyone else, he is young and has people who give him good advice, so having him at Real Madrid is better, it is a club with values, so I cannot say much," he added.

It seems that some of Rodri's statements did not please Neymar da Silva, who is considered one of Vinicius' close friends and his most vocal defenders recently, so he decided to respond strongly to the former Atletico Madrid player.

He said on his personal account on the social networking site Instagram, after he wrote a response that read: “It seems that you have become a chatterbox,” referring to the many statements made by the 28-year-old player since winning the Golden Ball award, which is given by the French magazine France Football every year, and this time in cooperation with the European Football Association (UEFA).

It is worth noting that the recent Ballon d'Or awards ceremony sparked a lot of controversy, after Rodri was crowned the best player in the world, after all expectations indicated that Vinicius would win.

This angered Real Madrid officials, most notably President Florentino Perez, who eventually decided to boycott the ceremony and prevent all members of the "Meringue" delegation from traveling to the French capital, Paris, especially since the first man in the royal club believes that the organizers of the Golden Ball and the European Football Association do not respect his team.
