High-level talks between the leadership of the Reform Party and the Chinese Communist Party

Today, Sunday, in the Chinese capital, Beijing, a session of high-level talks and a bilateral dialogue was held between the Yemeni Islah Party, headed by the Secretary-General, Mr. Abdul Wahab Al-Ansi, and the Chinese Communist Party, headed by Mr. Yu Wei, Vice President of Foreign Relations of the Chinese Communist Party for West and North Asian Affairs. These discussions came within the activities and meetings of the visiting delegation of the Yemeni Islah Party to China, where the talks dealt with a number of local, regional and international files of common interest, according to the official website of the Islah Party.

On behalf of the Islah delegation and leadership, Al-Ansi extended thanks and appreciation to the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party and the party’s external relations officials for the call for reform, the generous hospitality and warm reception, and the great interest the Islah delegation received from Chinese friends.

Al-Ansi noted the historical relations between the Republic of Yemen and the friendly People's Republic of China, as well as the distinguished relations between the two parties, the Yemeni Islah Party and the Chinese Communist Party.

The Secretary-General stressed the Islah Party’s keenness to develop and strengthen relations, in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.

The Secretary-General of Islah addressed the various aspects of cooperation and coordination between the two parties, ways to develop them, and the foundations on which they are based. At the forefront of these aspects is cooperation in capacity building and the exchange of expertise and successful experiences.

He also touched on coordination in the political positions between the two parties regarding various regional and international issues, the exchange of visits and participation in various events, and the continuation of meetings and communication between the two parties.

He pointed out the importance of working to support the efforts of the legitimate government in Yemen in various political, economic and cultural fields, preserving Yemen, its unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and being keen and working to bring a comprehensive and lasting peace to Yemen in accordance with UN Resolution 2216, which represents a road map for resolving the Yemeni problem and other issues. Various areas of cooperation and coordination.

Al-Ansi stressed the reform’s support for the unity and sovereignty of the People’s Republic of China.

Vice Chairman of the Shura Council, Abdullah Abu Al-Ghaith, also provided an overview of the role and tasks of the Shura Council in Yemen, reviewing a number of different aspects of coordination and cooperation between the two governments in Yemen and China, including investment in various areas of common interest.

Abu Al-Ghaith stressed the keenness to develop the relationship between the governments of the two friendly countries and their various institutions.

For his part, a member of the Supreme Council and head of the parliamentary bloc of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Hijri, provided a comprehensive introductory briefing on the Yemeni Reform Party, its national and struggle efforts with political action partners at various stages, and its political participations.

Al-Hijri stressed that the reform is part of the legitimacy system and supports it and supports its orientations, in various national, regional and international issues.

For his part, Vice President of Foreign Relations of the Chinese Communist Party, Yu Wei, renewed his welcome to the Islah delegation, pointing out the distinguished relationship between the Islah Party and the Chinese Communist Party, and the work to develop it.

Wei gave a briefing on the path of the Chinese Communist Party, its struggles, the stages of its development, and its role in building modern China and its comprehensive renaissance, explaining that the People's Republic of China is moving forward in the process of comprehensive renaissance, and attention to the Chinese citizen is the focus of this renaissance.

The Vice President of Foreign Relations of the Chinese Communist Party stressed the party’s interest in developing the relationship with the Yemeni Islah Party, as well as working to develop the relationship between the two friendly countries.

He also stressed the need for continued communication and coordination between the two parties, expressing his party’s readiness to work on this and to contribute to various areas of cooperation.

The visiting Islah delegation to the People's Republic of China includes a member of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party and head of the parliamentary bloc, advisor to the President of the Republic, Abdul Razzaq Al-Hijri, deputy head of the delegation, and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and head of the local Shura Authority for Islah in Hadhramaut Governorate, Mohsen Basra.

It also includes the Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Abdullah Muhammad Abu Al-Ghaith, the Minister of Industry and Trade and Head of the Ministerial Bloc for Reform in the government, Muhammad Hizam Al-Ashwal, the Head of the Planning Department of the General Secretariat of Reform, Abdul Jalil Saeed, the Head of the Media and Culture Department, Ali Al-Jaradi, and the Head of the Foreign Relations Office of the General Secretariat, Ibrahim Al-Shami.
